Kyu Baek is an HVS alumnus, a graduate of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, and also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Hong Kong. Before Hong Kong, he’s lived in countries all over the world including Singapore, Thailand, and Switzerland, just to name a few. Thailand was where his dream to have a career in hospitality began, as he spent most of his childhood summers in a resort; one managed by the father of his best friend. Inspired by the hospitality he was given, he took this passion into TriO and has since helped develop some of the most popular hotels across the portfolio.

Kyu Baek's role spearheads the company’s investment and development strategies for both high-quality growth and best-in-class value creation, within the lifestyle segment. Working closely with hotel & project management teams to create distinctive, bespoke hotels, Kyu Baek oversees deals throughout all stages of M&A and investment cycle – from deal origination through to a capital event.
